This song was written out of my reflections on a bible study I was leading.

It is a prayer. The idea behind it is not explicit. The idea comes form the temple in Jerusalem, when the curtain was tore it was symbolic of God’s presence no longer being restricted. I had built on this idea thinking that our lives are like the temple, and just like Go is not restricted to any part of the temple nor is he restricted to our lives. However it is up to us to allow God’s presence to permeate our whole lives. That’s what the song is about “open skies, open wide” is a prayer to be filled wit God’s presence.
